Creating a site-specific installation inspired by the unique and unconventional jazz performer Sun Ra and the historic Sheldon Concert Hall. Chavez, created a 3-part installation using three rooms in the Gallery space that includes a series of drawings inspired by a Sun Ra keyboard solo, a video that has footage of The Sheldon’s acoustically perfect concert hall , as well as sculpture and sound installations.
